American Idol: Chris Richardson Photographed With Mtv’s Lauren Conrad

American Idol has had its share of controversies ever since it launch in 2002, whether about issues surrounding its contestants, host or its infamous judges. Nevertheless, the love lives or personal relationships of its contestants hardly make the news…until now.

Based on the snapshots by TMZ.com, American Idol’s Chris Richardson and Laguna Beach’s Lauren “LC” Conrad seem to be engrossed with each other at the Les Deux club.

So, who’s Chris Richardson? Richardson is a 23-year old native of Belgium who graduated from Great Bridge High School and studied music composition at Christopher Newport University. Eager to make it big in the entertainment scene, he tried his luck and auditioned in New York for American Idol season six. Fortunately, he got accepted and is one of the top 8 contestants remaining to date. Prior to his inclusion on American Idol, he worked as a kitchen supervisor for a Hooters restaurant. As for LC, she is a 21-year old student turned reality television star. This California native is best known for her inclusion on MTV’s reality program Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and The Hills, where she earned a Teen Choice Award in 2006. She also appeared in the film Epic Movie.

The American Idol finalist and the Laguna Beach star being seen together is actually a positive thing, if you think about it. LC has been recently flooded with negative publicity surrounding her rumored sex tape which allegedly features herself and a past cast mate. Her being with Richardson might positively ease her reputation from the prejudiced public. Meanwhile, Richardson’s possible love team up with LC certainly puts him into the limelight. In line with this, it appears that he is making the most out of his American Idol fame, taking positive exposure as he becomes visible to the public with a good-looking girl.

American Idol: More Than Just a Singing Competition

American Idol is perhaps the biggest singing competition in America these days, and it’s really not hard to see why. Broadcasted over Fox Network in the United States, it is aired internationally in more than 100 countries outside the United States such as; Canada, Mexico, the Philippines, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and India. And with viewer ratings ranging from 9.9 million viewers during the first season up to 37.7 million in the sixth season, this singing competition, which has also been dubbed as a reality show, is undoubtedly one of the most phenomenal programs to be broadcast on television.

In fact, American Idol has come to be regarded by many as an authoritative television executive, a force to be reckoned with, such that even rival television networks have come to rearrange their program schedules around American Idol in order to diminish their losses. Fox has even accordingly used American Idol to publicize and promote its other programs during its airing. Needless to say, American Idol is a major advertising hotspot for some of the biggest companies and products in the United States.

American Idol was created by British show business mogul, Simon Fuller, in 2002 and the main thrust of the show is to search for the best singer in the United States through a succession of singing contests. Contestants are filtered from literally hundreds of aspiring American Idol hopefuls across the United States. During the initial auditions, contestants are screened and chosen by four judges; recording producer Randy Jackson, Grammy award-winning pop songstress, Emmy award-winning choreographer and dancer Paula Abdul, music manager and mogul Simon Cowell. Recently added, was the multi-Grammy nominated songstress and composer Kara DioGuardi.

Judges decide the top 24 contestants who then face off in a series of weekly competitions, each with different themes. Examples of themes that have been used include disco, big band, Motown, Billboard hits, and even featured singing artists like Dolly Parton, Elton John, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Queen, Barry Manilow, Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder, Neil Diamond, The BeeGees, Mariah Carey, Gloria Estefan, Rod Stewart, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Neil Sadaka. It is during this later stage of the show when the public vote is used to decide the top 12, eventually narrowing it down to the top 2 by voting a contestant out every week.

American Idol is hosted by Ryan Seacrest who used to host game shows for children. In the first season, he co-hosted the show with funnyman Brian Dunkleman.

First aired with little fanfare as a summer stand-in television show in 2002, American Idol has since developed and grown an immense fan base all through to its eighth season this year. Needless to say, the show has produced award-winning and popular singing artists, starting off with the winners of the first seven seasons, namely Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia Barrino, Ruben Studdard, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, Carrie Underwood, and David Cook. Noteworthy are also the runners-up of the first seven seasons, who are Justin Guarini, Blake Lewis, Clay Aiken, Diana DeGarmo, Katharine McPhee, Bo Bice, and David Archuleta.

American Idol Birthday Party Ideas

American Idol is a hugely popular show that allows various pop star wannabes to follow their dreams and become the next American Idol. Of course, most fall flat on their faces and for some that is all part of the fun of watching the show. However, there are a few individuals who achieve their dreams of pop stardom on the show, and have created some of the best music of the 21st century.

Your children most likely watch the show, and they are going to start emulating the pop stars they see. As well, they are going to come to you and ask for an American Idol themed birthday party, so it is good idea to be prepared. Thankfully, through some imagination and these party ideas, it will be easy to be prepared.

Make an Outfit

Some of the people that audition on American Idol are remembered for what they wear. So, give the kids a paper bag to wear over their clothes, and then let them put various pieces of flair on it to make it unique. Let them paint it, put streamers on it, and anything else they can think of to make them stand out.

Audition Time

The biggest part of American Idol is the auditions, so if you are going to have an American Idol themed birthday party, then you are going to need to have auditions. However, there is a big difference between your auditions at the birthday party, and the auditions on the actual show. You have to be a lot nicer than Simon is, because you do not want the kids crying because you are mean. So give them goofy answers like ‘It was good, but I think if you did it in a deep voice it would be better.’ Once the kids do it in a deeper voice, make them go deeper and deeper in their voice until they are giggling about how it sounds.

Happy Birthday

Once the kids have all auditioned, tell them you are going to record a CD now for them. Then, have all the kids, including the birthday boy or girl, sing Happy Birthday. Using just a computer and recorder, you can easily record it and burn it onto a few CDs for the kids. If you have a color printer, you can even make a label that features all of them auditioning. If you want to go the extra mile, put pictures of them auditioning on the CD for them.

At some point, you can expect your children to ask for an American Idol themed birthday party. It may seem like a daunting task, and it is unlikely you will get Simon Cowell out to the birthday party, so you need to use your imagination. However, if you also use these party ideas, you can create a wonderful birthday party for your children.

Asia’h Epperson American Idol Returns?

Will Asia’h Epperson of American Idol be returning to American Idol Season Seven? It has been rumored that American Idol is going to run a Wild Card pick for 5 contestants of American Idol that have already been voted off. Will Asia’h Epperson be one of those Wild Cards?

As a huge fan of Asia’h Epperson I surely hope so. This young lady has so much talent that it would be a shame for American Idol not to give her another chance to showcase her talent. As a 19 year old adult she showed her professionalism by still going on with her auditions even after learning of her father’s death. I do not think as an older adult I could not have gone on to continue as well as she did.

The Wild Card drawing is so far just a rumor. I have noticed several sites have made the same statement. American Idol Season Seven will be asking the top five dismissed contestants back to battle it out for the honor of joining the top ten finalists on tour this summer. There will then be 11 with the 11th being the Wild Card winner. Voting for these 5 contestants will be much the same as before, but with the exception that the votes with cost money. The money raised with these paid votes, it is said, will be donated to a charity.

It is rumored that the Wild Card segments will start in April. Asia’h Epperson was voted off in the beginning of March from American Idol. I think it would be great to see her back and to see if she can win the Wild Card for the summer tour. If the American Idol tour came close enough to my area I would go and so would most of my family.

There are so many Asia’h Epperson fan sites on the Internet, I hope this time that they really gather together and support Asia’h on the second round. I know many were shocked when American Idol Season Seven voted her off on the first round. Winning this round will not qualify her for the title of American Idol, but it would give her the opportunity to travel with the other top ten and polish her talent. Who knows as good as she is this could be another chance for a recording deal. People if you have a chance go to the official American Idol website and request that Asia’h Epperson is brought back for a second chance.

Adam Lambert – A Unique American Story, What You never Knew About Adam

Adam Lambert became the runner-up in the popular American Idol tv show on May, 29 2009. It was just yesterday when Adam Lambert released his album “For Your Entertainment.”

Lambert was born humbly in Indianapolis, Indiana on January, 29 1982. Later on he moved to Rancho Peñasquitos in northeastern San Diego where he attended Deer Canyon Elementary School, Mesa Verde Middle School, there he was the victor in the Airband competition.

Adam Lambert attended the Mount Carmel High School Or MCHS for short. There he learned to sing in the choir, and perform in theater. Quite often he did vocals with the school jazz band “MC Jazz.”

Led Zeppelin, Queen, Michael Jackson, and others have been named as influential by Mr. Lambert. He is jewish and has done shows at Jewish events in Hebrew. One song he has sang before is titled “Shir LaShalom.” Also he has done events at Kol Nidre service, on Yom Kippur, The Musical as Joshua. A ten commandments kind of tribute.

The well-known publication Rolling Stone affirmed the fact that he was gay right after the American Idol conclusion.

Lambert has acted since he was ten years old, and from 2004 he has acted often on the Zodiac, and Upright Cabaret shows. These two venues were co-created by the purveyor of the Pussycat Dolls Carmit Bachar.
Adam Lambert went to San Francisco for the eighth season audition of American Idol. The first round Adam sang “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Rock With You.” Lambert was voted into the high 13, enjoining fellow group 2 artists, Kris Allen, and Allison Iraheta. During the Micahel Jackson tribute sessions, he performed “Black or White” leading to high acclaim from all of the four judges. Paula Abdul was sure he would be in the finals. It was May, 2009 when Lambert was pronounced as the second place winner in the eighth season of American Idol.  Pictures of Lambert kissing a man were discovered while he was a competitor on American Idol. The O’Reilly Factor had a field day with this. Rolling Stone asked whether he thought this incident may have impacted his results in the competition, Lambert chuckled and replied “probably.”
